Trailer
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a trailer for transporting i.a. boats, waste and the like. More specifically, the present invention relates to a trailer comprising a replaceable part which makes it possible to use one and the same trailer for different purposes. The replaceable part can be completely removed from the trailer.
Background of the Invention
Most boat trailer owners have learned that a traditional boat trailer takes up a lot of space and is specifically tailored for boat transportation. That is why trailers, called multifunction trailers, have been developed with replaceable parts so that the trailer can be used for several different purposes.
However, the known solutions are either very expensive or cumbersome to handle. The advanced solutions, which include hydraulic lifting devices, are costly, while the simpler solutions require access to lifting gear in order to be able to replace the trailer's replaceable parts.
Thus, it is desirable to be able to provide an alternative to the traditional multifunction trailers, in order to provide a simpler and more user-friendly solution.
It is further desirable to provide a multi-purpose trailer that can be used for multiple purposes so that hydraulic lifting devices or lifting gear do not have to be used to replace the parts of the trailer.
It is further desirable to provide a multifunction trailer, comprising parts that are easy to mount and disconnect from the trailer.
International patent application WO 88/04618 A1 describes a trailer comprising a base part arranged to receive a displaceable part loosely placed on the base part. This means that the sliding part can easily fall off the base part. The solution is thus critical when the trailer is holding on a sloping terrain or if it is turning or braking.
U.S. Patent Application US 2711259 A discloses a trailer comprising a base member and a slidable member designed as a boat trailer that can be driven up onto the base member. However, the base part only supports the sliding part. Therefore, the sliding part can easily fall off the base part. In stormy weather, the wind can e.g. grab the boat (when a boat is placed in the boat trailer) and thus tear the sliding part down from the base part. Therefore, it is not safe to use the trailer in e.g. storm road. Furthermore, the sliding part can easily fall to the side if the base part is not standing on a flat surface. The trailer is thus not safe to use.
Norwegian patent NO 329510 B1 describes a trailer which comprises a base part as well as various displaceable part which can be driven up on the base part by means of rollers. However, the base part alone forms a support for the slidable part. Therefore, the sliding part can easily fall off the base part. In stormy weather, the wind can tear the sliding part down from the base part. In addition, the sliding part can fall off in connection with braking or driving in sharp turns. Therefore, it is not safe to use the trailer.
US 3,097,755 A discloses a trailer comprising a base member adapted to be coupled to a towing vehicle. The trailer also comprises a slidable part which is slidably attached to the base part by means of rollers which engage in locking engagement. The sliding part and the base part cannot be completely separated from each other.
US 3,011,670 A describes a trailer consisting of a base part adapted to be coupled to a towing vehicle and a slidable part slidably attached to the base part by means of rollers which engage in locking engagement. The trailer does not include a slidable part which can be completely separated from the base part and which can be easily inserted on the base part.
US 3,140,003 A describes a trailer consisting of a base part and a slidable part slidably attached to the base part. The sliding part cannot be completely removed from the base part.
It thus constitutes a safety risk to use the known types of trailers comprising a base part and a slidable part arranged for placement on the base part.
Object of the invention
The object of the present invention is to provide a safety-sound alternative to the traditional multifunction trailers.
It is a further object of the present invention to provide a safe, multifunctional trailer which can be used for several purposes, so that hydraulic lifting devices or lifting gear do not have to be used to replace the parts of the trailer.
It is a further object of the present invention to provide a safe and secure multifunction trailer which is simple and user-friendly to use.
It is a further object of the present invention to provide a safety-sound multifunction trailer, comprising parts which are easy to mount and disconnect from the trailer.
The object of the present invention is achieved with a trailer as defined in claim 1. Preferred embodiments are defined in the subclaims and are explained in the following description and illustrated in the accompanying figures.
The trailer, according to the invention, is a trailer comprising a base part and a slidable part, which base part comprises a frame part, the trailer comprising two or more wheels, the base part comprising a rotatable part rotatably attached to the frame part, so that the rotatable part can be rotated relative to the frame member, the rotatable member comprising means in which the slidable member is displaceable along the rotatable member (preferably along the longitudinal axis of the slidable member), the slidable member being an independent unit which can be disassembled completely from the base member, the slidable member part comprises means arranged to be engaged with corresponding means on the base part in such a way that vertical movement of the displaceable part relative to the base part is prevented, and wherein the rotatable part comprises insertion elements with an area which narrows towards the central part part of the means, suitable for receiving the displaceable part placed in the distal end of the rotatable part e.
This makes it possible to provide a safe, multifunctional trailer that can be used for several purposes, is simple and user-friendly, so that hydraulic lifting devices or lifting gear do not have to be used to replace the parts of the trailer. Since the slidable part comprises means arranged to be engaged with corresponding means on the base part in such a way that vertical movement of the slidable part relative to the base part is prevented, the slidable part can be placed in a safe manner relative to the base part. This results in a trailer that is safe to use.
With the invention it is furthermore possible to provide a multifunction trailer, comprising parts which are easy to mount on and disconnect from the trailer.
The trailer includes a base member that includes a frame member. The frame part may comprise any frame structure, such as e.g. may comprise two beams extending along the sides of the frame structure. The frame part may comprise a frame structure consisting of longitudinal rods, which may be connected via one, two or more crossbars.
The trailer includes two or more wheels so that it can drive. The trailer comprises a coupling unit arranged for coupling to a vehicle (eg coupling of a towing hook to a car).
The base part comprises a rotatable part rotatably attached to the frame part. The rotatable part may advantageously be rotatably attached to a cross bar extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the rotatable part. With this, rotation of the rotatable part can lead to inclination of the longitudinal axis of the rotatable part.
It may be convenient for the rotatable member to be rotatably attached to a cross bar extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the base members. With this, rotation of the rotatable part can establish an inclination along the longitudinal axis of the base parts.
The rotatable part can be rotated relative to the frame part, which makes it possible to facilitate assembly and disassembly of a slidable part.
The rotating part comprises means for displacing (preferably via translation) a displaceable part along the rotating part (preferably along the longitudinal axis of the displaceable part). These means may include winches or other suitable displacement means such as a timing belt or a chain.
The movement of the displaceable part along the rotating part can advantageously take place in the form of translation. However, translations can be performed in several independent directions if desired.
The sliding part is a separate unit that can be removed completely from the base part. The sliding part can e.g. be a boat trailer, a cargo trailer or a car trailer that can be completely dismantled.
By using a trailer according to the invention, it is possible to reduce the number of trailers required to be able to perform various tasks. You can thus use the same base part for several different displaceable parts (eg a boat trailer, a cargo trailer and an autotrailer). This saves space and costs compared to the known solutions, where several separate trailers are used.
It is advantageous for the base part to comprise a coupling part arranged for mounting on a vehicle (towing hook).
It can be an advantage that the rotatable part is arranged in such a way that a slidable connection is established between the slidable part and the rotatable part, so that translation of the slidable part relative to the base part can be provided in such a way. , that the proximal end of the displaceable part and the center of gravity of the displaceable part are translated in parallel.
The proximal end of the slidable part will usually be the end closest to the trailer hook.
The trailer comprises a base part and a slidable part arranged for mounting on the base part.
It is possible to replace the sliding part with another sliding part.
It can be an advantage that the slidable part is equipped with wheels mounted on the distal end of the slidable part.
This makes it possible to bring the wheels of the displaceable part into contact with the ground when the displaceable part is displaced along the rotatable part. It is also possible to drive with the sliding part when it is placed on the ground.
By placing the wheels in the distal end of the slidable part, the wheels are brought into contact with the ground as the first part of the slidable part.
The rotatable part comprises insertion elements so that their area is narrowed towards the central part of the rails.
It can be an advantage that the trailer comprises two rails and two insertion elements, so that insertion is facilitated on both sides (in both rails).
It may be advantageous for the rotatable part to be arranged in such a way that such a low insertion level can be provided for the slidable part that the slidable part can be driven directly up onto the rotatable part. The distal end of the rotatable part can in one embodiment be brought completely down into contact with the substrate.
This makes it possible to handle (including replacing) the sliding part in a very simple and user-friendly way without the use of external aids. This makes it possible for the user of the trailer, quickly and efficiently, to replace the sliding part in a simple way.
By insertion level is meant the height above the ground in which the distal part of the rotatable part is placed when the rotatable part is set in its insertion position, which will most often be the lowest possible position.
It is an advantage that the slidable part comprises one or more wheels or units for mounting wheels at the proximal end of the slidable part.
This makes it possible to use one or more wheels (eg nose wheels) to drive around with the sliding part. The slidable part can also be locked if a nose wheel with a mechanical lock is used. In this way, a slidable part is obtained which is mobile and lockable.
It may be advantageous for the slidable part to comprise one or more wheel units and / or units for mounting one or more wheel units.
The wheel units make it possible to drive with the sliding part. The wheel units may advantageously comprise a rod or a tube on which one or more wheels are rotatably mounted. The wheel assemblies may include a nose wheel.
It may be advantageous for the base member to comprise a hand-operated winch or a motorized winch, preferably located at the proximal end of the base member. Spindles can easily be used to provide a controlled translation of the slidable part along the rotatable part (e.g. along the longitudinal axis of the rotatable part).
It may be advantageous to have a battery attached to the base member which drives an electric motor. This electric motor can be used to make a controlled translation of the slidable part along the rotatable part.
As an alternative to a winch, the base member may comprise a motor coupled to a timing belt or a chain adapted to provide a desired translation of the slidable member relative to the base member.
It may be an advantage for the base part to comprise a tipping device mounted at the proximal end of the base part. Thus, it is possible to change the inclination of the rotatable part and maintain the rotatable part in several different configurations with different inclinations. The inclination of the longitudinal axis of the rotatable part can e.g. be horizontal in a first configuration and pour e.g. 20 degrees in another configuration.
The tipping device may comprise an actuator, e.g. an electric actuator.
It may be advantageous for the base part to comprise two beams and for a cross bar to be attached to the front part of the beams, on which an upright support structure with a through hole for fastening the rotatable part is fastened. This construction is simple and robust and provides a secure attachment of the rotatable member in a selected configuration.
It may be advantageous for the rotatable part to be arranged to be able to be placed in a lower, substantially horizontal, position. This ensures that the base part is suitable for transporting the slidable part e.g. while driving on the road.
It is preferred, however, that the rotatable part is arranged to be rotated in such a way that the rotatable part slopes away from the support structure, so that the displaceable part can be displaced via translation along the rotatable part.
This enables easy coupling and coupling of the sliding part to the base part.
It may be advantageous for the base part to comprise a rotatable part comprising two parallel rails arranged to receive a number of corresponding rollers from the displaceable part placed on the base part.
It may be advantageous for the rails to extend parallel to the longitudinal axis of the trailer. In this case, the slidable part must be equipped with rollers or wheels arranged to engage the rails in order to provide a slidable connection between the base part and the slidable part.
It may be advantageous for the base member to comprise a rotatable member comprising rollers or wheels arranged to be received by two parallel rails attached to the slidable member located on the base member.
It may be advantageous for the rails to extend parallel to the longitudinal axis of the slidable part. In this case, the base member must be provided with rollers or wheels arranged to engage the rails in order to provide a slidable connection between the base member and the slidable member.
With the invention it is possible to provide a multifunction trailer which can be used for several purposes and which is at the same time simple and user-friendly to use. No hydraulic lifting devices or lifting gear are required to replace the trailer parts.
The invention further provides a multifunction trailer, comprising parts that are easy to mount and disconnect from the trailer.

Detailed description
Initially, it should be noted that the accompanying drawings illustrate non-limiting embodiments only. A number of other embodiments will be possible within the scope of the present invention. In the following, corresponding or identical elements in the different embodiments will be denoted by the same reference numerals.
FIG. 1 shows a schematic illustration of a trailer 2 according to the invention in a first configuration. The trailer 2 comprises a base part 4 equipped with two wheels 8, 8 'and a nose wheel 14 with a smaller wheel 16. The nose wheel is contractually attached to the base part 4 via a fastening element which is schematically illustrated (it may for instance comprise fastening means such as screw). The base part 4 comprises a rotatable part 50, which comprises two parallel rails 36, 36 'arranged to receive a number of corresponding rollers (see Fig. 2) from the displaceable part located on the base part 4 (which in this case is a boat trailer) 6. The rails extend parallel to the longitudinal axis X of the trailer.
The base part 4 consists of two beams 40 '(of which only one is visible in Figs.
1). A cross bar 66 is attached to the front portion of the beams 40, to which an upright support structure 62 with a through hole 64 is attached to secure the rotatable portion 50. In FIG. 1, the rotatable member 50 is located in its lower position, which is substantially horizontal.
However, the rotatable part 50 can be rotated in such a way that the rotatable part 50 slopes away from the support structure 62, so that the displaceable part 6 can be displaced via translation along the rotatable part 50 (see Fig. 3).
Attached to the base part 4 is a battery 18 which drives an electric motor 20. This electric motor 20 can be used to make a controlled translation of the slidable part 6 along the rotatable part 50 (see Figs.
2).
The slidable part 6 is designed as a boat trailer which is slidably mounted to the base part 4 via a number of rollers (not shown) placed in the rails 36, 36 '. The slidable part 6 comprises a cross bar 30, on which a hand-driven winch 24 equipped with a handle 26 is attached. The hand-driven winch 24 of the boat trailer can thus be used to raise or lower a boat from or to the boat trailer.
Note that a boat will thus be able to be brought completely into the water, even if the car towing the trailer 2 is kept at a relatively large distance from the water's edge. First, the boat trailer 6 is displaced towards the water edge relative to the base part 4. Next, the boat is displaced along the boat trailer in the direction of the water. Therefore, the car towing the trailer 2 can hold at a greater distance than e.g. 4 meters from the water's edge and still provide an automatic launching or pickup of the boat.
This means that the trailer 2 according to the invention makes it possible to launch or pick up boats, even if you are only one person.
The boat trailer 6 is provided with a plurality of rollers 12, 12 'mounted so that the boat to be on the boat trailer can roll on the rollers 12, 12'. The boat trailer 6 is also provided with two wheels 10, 10 ', so that the boat trailer can drive when it is in contact with the ground.
FIG. 2 shows a schematic illustration of a trailer 2 according to the invention. In FIG. 2 shows the removal of the sliding part 6 of the trailer. The trailer comprises a base part 4, if two wheels 8, 8 'rest on the ground. The base part 4 has two sides 40, 40 '. A nose wheel 14 with a wheel 16 is mounted on the front part of one vane 40.
A cross bar 66 is attached to the front portion of the beams 40, 40 ', to which an upright support structure 62 is attached to secure the rotatable portion 50 of the base portion. An electric motor 20 is attached to the base part 4. A wire 28 is attached to the electric motor 20, which can thus be used to make a controlled translation of the slidable part 6 along the rotatable part 50, i.e. parallel to the longitudinal axis X of the trailer.
The wire 28 is connected to the cross bar 30 and thus to the slidable part 6. This allows an easy and controllable translation of the slidable part 6 along the rotatable part 50 in connection with disassembly or mounting of the rotatable part 50 on the base part 4.
The rotatable part 50 comprises, in the same way as is the case for the trailer shown in Figs. 1, two parallel rails 36, 36 'connected by a cross bar 44. The rails 36, 36' are arranged to receive a number of rollers 34 rotatably mounted on the outside of the longitudinal bars 38, 38 '. The rails 36, 36 'each open into a funnel-shaped insertion element 32, 32'. The insertion elements 32, 32 'are arranged to guide the rollers 34 into place, so that it is easier to get the rollers 34 into the rails 36, 36'.
FIG. 3 shows a schematic illustration of the base part 4 of a trailer according to the invention. The base part 4 comprises two beams 40, 40 ', which constitute the outer frame of the base part, to which a cross bar 42 is attached for fastening two wheels 8, 8' and a nose wheel 14 with a wheel 16. The base part comprises a rotatable part 50 which is rotatably attached to the cross bar 42 via two mechanical rotation mechanisms 46, 48.
The rotatable part 50 consists of two parallel rails 36, 36 'connected by a cross bar 44 and a second cross bar 52. The rotatable part 50 further comprises two funnel-shaped insertion elements 32, 32' arranged to facilitate insertion of rollers in the rails 36, 36 '. .
Attached to the front part of the beams 40, 40 'is a cross bar 66, to which an upright support structure 62 for fixing the rotatable part 50 is mounted. In FIG. 3, the rotatable member 50 is located in a position where the rotatable member 50 is inclined away from the support structure 62. Thus, a slidable member (e.g., a boat trailer or a cargo trailer as shown in Fig. 4 or Fig. 5) can be displaced via translation along the longitudinal axis Y of the rotatable part 50.
Mounted on the crossbar 44 is a motor 20 to which is attached a wire 28 for attaching a slidable part (e.g. a trailer as shown in Fig. 4) along the rotatable part 50.
FIG. 4 A shows a schematic illustration of a first displaceable part 6 (boat trailer) according to the invention. The boat trailer 6 comprises two parallel longitudinal rods 38, 38 'connected by four transverse rods.
A number of rollers 34, 34 'are rotatably attached to the outer sides of the longitudinal rods 38, 38'. The rollers 34, 34 'are arranged to be able to be inserted into and run along the rails of the base parts (see Fig. 1, Fig. 2, Fig. 3 and Fig. 5). There may be more rollers 34, 34 'than the rollers 34, 34' shown.
The boat trailer 6 further comprises two wheels, 10, 10 ', which are rotatably attached to the two parallel longitudinal rods 38, 38'. The two wheels 10, 10 'ensure that the boat trailer 6 can run on the ground.
A device is provided for mounting a wheel unit 74 on the rod 38. A corresponding device may be provided for mounting a wheel unit 74 on the rod 38 '.
FIG. 4B shows a schematic illustration of another displaceable part (cargo trailer) 6 according to the invention. The load trailer 6 comprises a box 56 for the reinforcement with a reinforcing structure 58, on which are mounted rollers 34 arranged for insertion into the rails of the base parts (see Fig. 1, Fig. 2, Fig. 3 and Fig. 5).
The cargo trailer 6 further comprises a shaft on which two wheels 10, 10 'are mounted.
FIG. 4C shows a schematic illustration of a third displaceable part (cargo trailer) 6 according to the invention. The cargo trailer 6 comprises a box 56 similar to that in Figs. 4 B showed. The box 56 is reinforced with a reinforcing structure 58 on which rails 60 are mounted (only one is visible in Fig. 4 C, but rails 60 are mounted on the two long sides of the box). The rails 60 are arranged to receive corresponding rollers mounted on the base part (see Fig. 5 A). The cargo trailer 6 is equipped with two wheels 10, 10 '.
It is important to emphasize that the slidable part 6 according to the invention can be designed in many ways in addition to the examples shown in the figures. It is e.g. possible to design the sliding part as a car trailer or as a trailer with a ramp.
FIG. 5 A shows a schematic illustration of mounting of a first displaceable part (cargo trailer) 6 on a base part 4 according to the invention. The base part 4 comprises a frame consisting of two parallel beams 40, 40 'which are connected via four crossbars 52, 52', 52 ", 52 '". The base part 4 comprises two wheels 8, 8 'mounted approx. in the middle of the base part 4.
The base part 4 is provided with an upright support structure 62 designed as a rod with a rectangular cross section. The support structure 62 is attached to the base member 4 and is provided with a through hole 64 for attaching the cross bar 52 "" via its through hole 68. The frame consisting of the beams 40, 40 'and the transverse bars 52, 52', 52 "arranged therebetween 52 "'can thus be rotated relative to the front part 70, which can be attached to a towed vehicle.
Rollers 34, 34 'rotatably mounted on the inside of the crossbars 40, 40', which are arranged to be inserted into corresponding rails 60 mounted on the cargo trailer 6 located behind the base part 4.
The cargo trailer 6 corresponds to the one in Fig. 4 C showed cargo trailer. The load trailer 6 is mounted on the base part 4 by pushing it in the direction 72 shown, so that the rollers 34, 34 'are inserted into the rails 60 of the load trailer. The base part 4 may comprise (not shown) means for attaching the load trailer 6 to the base part 4.
FIG. 5B shows a schematic illustration of mounting a second slidable part (boat trailer) 6 on a base part 4 according to the invention. The base part 4 comprises a frame consisting of two parallel beams 40, 40 'which are connected via four crossbars 52, 52', 52 ", 52 '". In addition, the base part 4 comprises two wheels 8, 8 'mounted approx. in the middle of the base part 4. The base part largely corresponds to that in Figs. 5 A shown base part 4. The only difference is that the rollers 34, 34 'are replaced with rails 36, 36' attached to the inside of the two beams 40, 40 '.
Behind the base part 4 there is a slidable part 6 according to the invention. The slidable part 6 is designed as a boat trailer 6 comprising a frame consisting of two parallel longitudinal rods 38, 38 ', which are interconnected by three transverse rods.
On the outside of the longitudinal rods 38, 38 'there are rotatably mounted rollers 34, 34', which are configured to be inserted into the rails 36, 36 'of the base part in order to mount the boat trailer on the base part 4.
The boat trailer 6 is equipped with two wheels 10, 10 ', so that the boat trailer can drive. A wheel assembly 74 is provided which is removably attached to the rod 38. A corresponding wheel assembly 74 may advantageously be attached to the rod 38 '.
The rollers 34, 34 'of the boat trailer are brought into engagement with the rails 36, 36' of the base parts by pushing the boat trailer 6 in the direction 72 shown. The base part 4 may comprise means (not shown) for attaching the cargo trailer 6 to the base part 4.
It is possible to provide variations in the placement of rails 36, 36 'and rollers 34, 34'. The rollers 34, 34 'can be placed on the slidable part 6 while the rails are placed on the base part 4. The rollers 34, 34' can alternatively be placed on the base part 4, while the rails 36, 36 'can be placed on the slidable part 6. The rails 36, 36' can is placed so that the groove in the rails 36, 36 'faces outwards while the rollers 34, 34' point inwards. Conversely, the rails 36, 36 'can be positioned so that the groove in the rails 36, 36' faces inwards while the rollers 34, 34 'point outwards.
